My wife and I are looking at a 1995 Catalina 42. We have been told that they are circumnavigating capable by some, and not by others. We are getting close to making this purchase, going to coastal cruise for a few years, then circumnavigate. We know that some boats are built heavier, and possibly more seaworthy, but we love Catalinas, (have a 25' now), and love the living space in the Catalina. Thanks for any input you could give me.
