Re: generators. My A.C. needs are for air conditioning to run one 16000 btu unit. I don't think the small units will do this, especially with any other draw. Has anyone put in a Panda or other small diesel unit where the hot water tank is? Gas is not an option. If so were you able to get the covers on and off once it was installed? I am not worried about hot water as the ocean is already in the high 80's and so is the night air. Throw in some no-seeums and frequent nightime light showers and you can see the value of A.C. I can of course get A.C. at a dock but that's very restrictive. Putting the gen in the stbd. lazarette isn't a practical option because it would deny access to the steering gear and eliminate fender storage etc. Maybe the boat just isn't big enough to do this. Anybody have any thoughts or experience? Thanks.
